I’ve now been able to see wonderful pieces of work that I missed while “working” at Festival. I hope you do the same for other quilt shows around the world - more power to your passport! Thankyou, Bonnie Lyn.

Bonnie, thank you for such a wonderful record of this magnificent event. I could only visit on one of the three days of the festival this year, so am really pleased to see some of the quilts I only looked at briefly. A really European event based in the UK and this was successfully shared in your video.

  • 15. Ann Adams  |  September 1st, 2006 at 4:09 pm

Bonnie, Thank you for sharing Festival of Quilts with us. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it - both times (I just had to watch it again in case I missed anything - and I’ll probably watch it a few more times too!). For me, it was the next best thing to actually being there.

  • 23. Birdie Cutair  |  September 2nd, 2006 at 10:49 am

thank you so much, Bonnie. I really enjoyed the quilt show in Birmingham, England. Since I can’t travel that far to see a quilt show your video was the next best thing to being there.

    Thanks,
    Birdie

You will have to return next year and get more closeups. I prefer information on the quilts than interviews. It would have been interesting to see the different fibers close up that you mentioned in your closing statement. It is the next best thing to being there.

Hi Bonnie, what a wonderful idea. It enables us quilters stuck here in New Zealand to get just an idea of what it must be like there at the actual quilt show. Congratulations on a job well done!
    Thank you.

Fabulous! I was at this show and enjoyed it and meeting Bonnnie immensely. What a great way to show those who did not attend part of what is going on. There are many classes to take, including some with Bonnie! If you have a chance it is certainly worth your while to come. Bonnie, what a fantastic presentation, I will watch it several times!

  • 33. Caitlin O'Connor  |  September 5th, 2006 at 12:24 am

Bonnie, I’m so excited by this! THANKYOU for putting in so much time and effort to bring us such a professional tour of the show, and for all the work you’ve put in linking the artists websites too. I’ve downloaded the show onto my iPAQ (PDA) so I can take it to art school tomorrow and get the teachers enthused too!
    Cheers, and thanks again,
    Caity

Wow Bonnie, thank you for bringing a piece of this show home to us. It looked incredible and I was fascinated by the Russian quilts. If this videocast wasn’t enough to make me want to visit, I don’t know what else would. Great stuff and thanks again.

  • 38. Chris Dixon  |  September 6th, 2006 at 1:31 pm

Your video of the FOQ is superb. For me it is a reminder of the show but how wonderful to reach so many quilters who were unable to attend. I look forward to your next video and more inspirational ideas. Thank you from Chris in the North East of England.

  • 40. Carolyn Sower  |  September 7th, 2006 at 11:31 am

    Bonnie,
Just loved your Podcast. You made it very personal by including the quilters. It was great hearing where all the quilters are from. Regarding the Russian quilters - Russia is an awfully big country, do you know where in Russia they were from?

All the quilts were awesome too.

  • 41. Karin Hellaby  |  September 7th, 2006 at 12:02 pm

Great job as usual! It was lovely to see so much that I had missed even though I was at the show for all four days. You really managed to catch the atmosphere of this super show.
I look forward to catching up with you in Houston!

  • 42. Lucia Santos  |  September 8th, 2006 at 10:38 am

    Dear Bonnie
I am speechless. I know you have these great ideas but this one tops them all.
I absolutely love it and … hate it!!! Why? I saw it quite a few times and have been spending countless hours in all those sites you have the links for. My eyes are soooo tired…I have to squint them to be able to see the screen! And my work … you know what I mean.
A mountain of thanks for this opportunity you gave us all.
    Lucia
PS When I hit the link for the”twistedtrhead.com I get kicked out of your site Thought you would like to know.

  • 47. Diana Brockway  |  September 30th, 2006 at 8:01 am

I had no idea so much was going on around me! You have given the exhibitors a chance to see things they missed. Thank you.
